Catherine’s Landing officially opened in April 2011 and is located on Lake Catherine. To many locals, the area the resort encompasses is known as the Humphrey’s Dairy resort. This specific area in Hot Springs was chosen for the development of Catherine’s Landing because the landscape is alluring and peaceful and the lake offers many water activities. Additionally, several other Hot Springs attractions are just a short drive from the resort. Oaklawn Racing & Gaming, Garvan Garden, and the historic bathhouses in the downtown district are all less than 20 minutes away.

Accommodations

For the open road travelers, Catherine’s Landing has modern RV sites available for rent. These are placed in a private area, sitting on one mile of water frontage. All sites are concrete and include full hook-ups, 50 amp service and cable. Additionally, TrailerLife, a popular RV lifestyle magazine, has rated Catherine’s Landing with a perfect score: 10 stars each for facilities, restrooms and appeal.

The yurts are another rare, but very neat lodging option. Yurts are often associated with “glamping” (glamorous camping) and are growing popularity in the U.S. Yurts allow people to enjoy the outdoors without roughing it such as dealing with bugs, weather and dirt. They are dome-shaped wooden structures with furnishings, climate control and fresh linens. The coolest feature is the skylight that allows guests to see the starts at night without leaving the comfort of their bed. Each yurt is surrounded by a circular deck and features an outdoor picnic table and fire pit.
