Meet the Manager

Kate King: General Manager of Mountain Springs Cabins

General Manager Kate King left behind a past in library science and interior design to work in hospitality for her family at their cabin retreat in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, which has come to be known as Mountain Springs Cabins, an RVC Outdoor Destination. This quaint retreat is located on land that has belonged to the women in her family since before the Civil War. Following a year of being property manager, Kate became general manager and then later purchased the business. In May 2010, she chose to sell Mountain Springs to RVC and become a member of the team. Kate is involved with the community through her relationship with the local chamber of commerce, her work with the zoning & planning committee, and her associations with several environmental groups. She is passionate about preserving and protecting her mountain community.
