Live Oak Landing Opens Opens
FREEPORT – Live Oak Landing, an RVC Outdoor Destination located on the Choctawhatchee Bay, will be
having a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 9 to celebrate the city of Freeport’s only lodging
facility and the resort’s opening success. The event is open to the public and light finger foods and soft drinks will be served. Guests can receive golf cart tours of the property and its features, including the Resort Cottages.
“We’re extremely proud to be the only accommodation option in the entire city,” said Neil Sorrell,
Manager of Live Oak Landing. “This is a great way to symbolize our open doors to the community…and I
think people will fall in love with the area and see that Live Oak is a perfect mix of relaxation and fun for
a vacation getaway,” he added.
Live Oak Landing is an RV and cottage resort property that began operations in November 2010, but
they’ve recently completed additional renovations. The property has excellent facilities for events, such
as reunions or private parties. It’s also an ideal vacation spot for locals or fishing and outdoors
enthusiasts because of its location surrounding multiple waterways.
The event will be from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on the resort property located at 229 Pitts Ave. in Freeport,
32439. Live Oak Landing resides on the north side of Choctawhatchee Bay, just east of the Hwy 331 and
up Black Creek.
