There are lots of reasons to plan an RV trip to Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Even if you don’t own an RV, there are RV rentals available so you too can enjoy a beach camping getaway.
Between all of the amazing activities, the waterfront locale, and RV resort amenities, you’ll be set for an unforgettable experience! Here are just a few things you can enjoy during your stay at the grand opening of Gulf Shores RV Resort in 2022:
Beach
Gulf Shores is known for its beautiful beaches, and our resort has some great beachfront locations. You can also back your RV into a waterfront site for that up close and personal view. This Gulf beach town has lovely weather year-round, and nothing beats waking up to an ocean sunrise and breakfast by the sand. Don’t forget to take a walk down the Gulf State Park Pier as well!
Shopping
There are great places in Gulf Shores for shopping, such as The Wharf. This main street offers outdoor shopping, local restaurants, and even a Ferris wheel. Plus, throughout the month of January, you can ice skate in their rink. Be sure to check the calendar as well for any events, including concerts at the amphitheater.
Amusement
Between The Track Family Fun Parks, Dinosaurs in the Woods, and Adventure Island, there is plenty for you and the family to do in Gulf Shores for amusement. The Track has many arcade games, family rides, and even go-karts. Dinosaurs in the Woods is a kid-friendly walking trail with your favorite dinosaurs! Adventure Island offers laser tag, bumper boats, and mini-golf. Something fun for everyone!
Zoo
The Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and see some exciting exhibits. The animal encounters, petting zoo, and daily shows will be sure to educate and entertain the whole family. You can even enjoy the local cafes and restaurants during your zoo visit.
State Parks
If you’re looking to spend some time outdoors, the state parks are a great option for hiking, biking, or even bringing a picnic to enjoy for lunch. You can rent kayaks and canoes as well, at the Gulf State Park. If you want something more leisurely, you can also go fishing, enjoy the flowers in the butterfly garden, and perhaps lounge by the swimming pool.
Educational
If you’re looking to spend a day indoors, consider a visit to the Orange Beach Indian and Sea Museum. Originally a schoolhouse, this museum now houses local artifacts and memorabilia relating to Native American and fishing heritage. One other unique local attraction is Bamahenge, a replica of Stonehenge made out of fiberglass!
