Located about 100 miles east of Pensacola, Freeport seems miles away from civilization. This small town of about 2,000 has a remote feel, though all the creature comforts and incredible beaches are just down the road. It is the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend.
One of the comfortable and quality offerings in town is Live Oak Landing. This pet-friendly RV Resort offers plenty of amenities like level pull-through sites and big rig access.
“Late so check-in consisted of picking up an envelope with our name on it. We stayed in a back-in RV site. Lots of things to do here, a pool, walking paths, docks for relaxing or fishing, creeks for boating or fishing, a dog run. We found our spot easily and it was level, paved, and well maintained. Even though the place was full, it was quiet and relaxing. When I checked out, the lady (I missed her name) was very sweet. She asked how our stay was and was very interested in what I had to say.”
Those staying at Live Oak can expect full-service hookups. Including 30/50-amp electrical, water, sewer, restrooms, laundry facilities, showers, a big screen TV in the activities pavilion, and cable TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the park. In addition to a beautiful natural setting, a few other niceties within the park include patios, fire rings, and picnic tables at each site.
