We would like to update you on your upcoming camping experience at Lake Raystown Resort, an RVC Outdoor Destination. On Monday, April 27th, Governor Wolf announced a May 1st statewide reopening of “Limited Outdoor Recreational Activities to help Pennsylvanians maintain a positive, physical mental health.” We are as excited about your upcoming stay as you are!
We care deeply about our community and keeping our guests and our team safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to make sure that you and your family have the best vacation possible while promoting a safe family camping experience.
*Wifi Password is resort2019. WiFI Internet Access is complimentary and will work for checking and sending emails, surfing the web, posting to Facebook (pictures may take a while). WiFI Internet Access may work for playing Youtube videos and for remote connection to work or school computer (depending on the number of active users). WiFi Internet Access will not work for streaming movies, TV shows or music or for online action gaming. We are in the process of installing a very large internet upgrade that will increase streaming capabilities in the upcoming weeks. We thank you for your patience.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT POLICY
CAMPSITES:
- Upon your arrival, please proceed straight ahead to our Security Check Point to Check-In. Please bypass the Resort Center and take advantage of our Drive-Thru Check-In Service. All Check-In information and parking passes will be ready and available for you while you remain in the comfort of your own vehicle.
- By the order of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, guests must wear a face mask or face covering during in-person contact with our staff and upon entry to all Resort buildings, restrooms and facilities.
- Check-Out time for all campsites is 11am on your day of departure. No need to stop in at the Resort Center – we will automatically check you out on your day of departure. If you would like a copy of your statement, please call (814) 658-3500 or email info@raystownresort.comand we will be happy to email you an electronic version of your statement.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
- Upon your arrival to Lake Raystown Resort, an RVC Outdoor Destination, please designate ONEmember of your family to check-in to your accommodation at the Resort Center.
- By the order of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, guests must wear a face mask or face covering during in-person contact with our staff and upon entry to all Resort buildings, restrooms and facilities.
- Please ring the door bell outside of the Resort Center when you arrive and a member of our staff will be happy to assist you with your check-in.
- Check-Out time for all accommodations is 11am on your day of departure. Please designate ONEmember of your family to stop in at the Resort Center upon check-out to return your key(s) prior to your departure.
With the ever evolving updates from COVID-19, we will have a new normal for now. Please see below for a few updates during your stay with us.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
- For the safety of our staff and guests, guests are advised to use the shower and bathrooms in their own camping unit to reduce traffic and use of our restroom facilities.
- Shower/bathroom facilities will be open for our guests’ use. Due to increased cleaning and sanitization procedures, our shower/bathroom facilities will close for cleaning multiple times throughout the day. Cleaning of each shower/bathroom facility is expected to take no more than 1 hour per cleaning. If the restroom that is located closest to your campsite is closed for cleaning, feel free to use a different facility as only one location will be closed for cleaning at a time. We ask for your cooperation in this matter.
- The Poplar and Hickory Shower Houses will be cleaned and closed nightly around 10pm and reopen at 7am daily.The Maple Bathroom and Smaller Poplar Bathroom will be open overnight for use while the Poplar & Hickory Shower Houses are closed.
- Locust and Birch Shower Houses, Walnut, Maple and Poplar (smaller) Bathroom facilities will remain open all night but will close first thing in the morning for cleaning and sanitization. Maple and Poplar (smaller) Bathrooms will be cleaned and closed to daytime use.
- To avoid overcrowding of our restroom facilities, only 3 guests will be permitted inside of restroom facilities at a time.
- Guests can enjoy walks around Lake Raystown Resort, bike rides, family outdoor time, boating, hiking and fishing. Outdoor time is the best medicine! Our playgrounds, Camper’s Beach, pavilions, Marina Tent, basketball court, volleyball courts, laundry facility, and other common areas where guests may gather cannot be accessed at this timebased on CDC and Pennsylvania Department of Health recommendations.
- There is plenty of space between campsites and accommodations to social distance! Families can enjoy S’mores around the campfire and outdoor time together at their campsites, playing games with their family, and making priceless memories.
- During this time, all Villa, Bungalow, Cottage, and Yurt rentals will notinclude pillows or pillowcases. Please bring your own pillows from home for use during your stay.
- Picnic tables will be provided at every campsite and rental unit and will be cleaned by our staff with sanitizer upon check-out. We recommend that every guest/family bring their own table cover to place on the picnic table at their site or rental unit.
- The Pennsylvania Department of Health now requires all employees and guests to wear face masks or face coverings while working, shopping or entering Resort buildings including bathrooms and during in-person contact with others.
WE KINDLY ASK OF OUR GUESTS:
- Please remember that gatherings of 10 or more people are prohibited while at your campsite or rental unit or anywhere on Resort property.
- OnlyONE family household with a maximum of 6 guests may occupy each campsite, Villa, Bungalow, Pine Cabin, Yurt, Adirondack Lodge Room or Premium Lodge Room.
- OnlyONE family household with a maximum of 8 guests may occupy each Appalachian Cabin in Maple or Oak Park Cottage.
- OnlyONE family household with a maximum of 4 guests may occupy each Lodge Suite, Premium King Lodge Room or Standard Lodge Room.
- Please follow all social distancing guidelines of at least 6 feet between all individuals to the maximum extent possible.
- During this time when many regions of Pennsylvania and other adjacent states are under “Stay At Home” advisories, we encourage guests to please bring necessary groceries and supplies from home to avoid unnecessary or extra visits to local stores. If you do forget something, our General Store will be open daily for your convenience.
- Please help us minimize risk to others by only going out if you feel healthy and have not been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- Please practice good hygiene by washing your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol. Avoid touching surfaces that are touched often.
- Have a plan before heading outdoors. Explain to children the need to keep their distance from others even if they see a friend while outside.
MARINA CAFÉ
- The Marina Café will be open Monday, May 25thfor Lunch/Dinner Take-Out Orders/Curbside Pickup ONLY from 8am – 8pm.
- Tuesday, May 26th through Friday, May 29th The Marina Café will be open daily for Lunch/Dinner Take-Out Orders/Curbside Pickup ONLY from 12pm – 8pm
- Weekend Hours are Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st for Take-Out/Curbside Pickup ONLY from 8am – 8pm. Breakfast is available from 8am – 11am.

- Due to Social Distancing Guidelines, no more than 5 guestswill be permitted in the General Store at a time.

- Portside Rentals is currently open from 9am – 6pm Sunday through Fridays and 9am – 8pm on Saturdays for Stand Up Paddle Board, Kayak rentals and Jet Ski rentals.

WILDRIVER WATERPARK
- Regretfully, we are not permitted to open WildRiver Waterpark for the upcoming Memorial Day Weekend due to the current Pennsylvania Department of Health restrictions and National COVID-19 mandates. We look forward to welcoming you soon at WildRiver Waterpark but unfortunately cannot offer a definite opening date at this time. However, please be assured that we are continuing to ready WildRiver Waterpark for your arrival so that we can open as soon as the State and National restrictions are lifted. The safety and health of our guests and staff are always our top priority. We are taking this extra time to update our policies and procedures to include all recommended COVID-19 prevention precautions which will be in place for the beginning of the 2020 season. Guests should expect a few changes (and limitations) once we do open.
- While the opening date for WildRiver Waterpark might be ”up in the air” right now, we sure do miss our guests and cannot wait for you to visit! We thank you for your patience and understanding.
