What is your Operations Schedule?

We open for the 2024 season on Friday, April 19th and close on Sunday, November 3rd.

How much of a deposit is required when I make my reservation?

Lake Raystown Resort has a full pre-payment policy at the time of reservation. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. You may also send a money order or Cashier’s Check. Unfortunately, we do not accept personal checks.

What is the accommodation cancellation policy?

Cancellations received more than 90 days prior to your scheduled arrival, receive an 80% refund. Cancellations received 89-31 days prior to your scheduled arrival, receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival, no refund will be given. Guests can always reschedule their stay with us at Lake Raystown Resort without losing any of their deposit for just a $25 rebooking fee. Also, please inquire about our Trip Protection Guarantee!

How does the Trip Protection Guarantee work?

The cost of our Trip Protection Guarantee is an additional 10% of your accommodation total. For instance, if the total amount of your campsite reservation is $100.00, then the cost of the trip protection is an additional $10.00. Or if your cabin reservation total is $750.00, then the cost of the Trip Protection Guarantee is an additional $75.00. If you purchase the Trip Protection Guarantee you can cancel at any time, up to and including the day of your arrival, for any reason excluding weather, and receive a full refund for the total of your accommodation deposit, less what you paid for the Trip Protection Guarantee.

How many people are permitted to stay at my Campsite, Cabin, Yurt, Cottage, Villa, Bungalow or Lodge Room?

Can I bring my pet?

All our campsites are pet friendly (dogs and cats only), as well as four cabins in the Pine Camping Cabin area. Pets are welcome in the campground if monitored, cleaned up after, and kept on a leash.

Pets are not permitted inside or around the Cabins, Cottages, Bungalows, Villas, or Lodge Rooms except for our “Dog Friendly” Pine Cabins (#21, #22, #23, and #24). We do not permit pets to be tied or kenneled on the porch or left in vehicles or in boats. Guests with pets inside or in the area surrounding their Cabins, Cottages, Bungalows, Villas, or Lodge Rooms will be evicted without further notice or refund.

Can I arrive earlier than my scheduled check-in time?

Guests cannot check-in to their overnight accommodations prior to their designated check-in time listed below.

Guests can arrive anytime on their day of arrival to use our amenities, but guests’ belongings cannot be placed on the porch or inside of their Cabin, Campsite, Lodge Room, Cottage, Bungalow, Yurt, or Villa. Keys to overnight accommodations will not be distributed until designated check-in time.

What cell phone carriers have reception at Lake Raystown Resort?

AT&T and Sprint/T-Mobile provide good service in the Raystown Lake area. Verizon service remains spotty/intermittent around Lake Raystown Resort. Lodge Standard Rooms, Lodge Adirondack Rooms, Lodge Suites, Lodge Premium Double Rooms, and Lodge Premium King Rooms are all equipped with “House Phones” and all incoming and outgoing calls are complimentary in these accommodations only.

How big is Raystown Lake?

Raystown Lake, with over 118 miles of shoreline and 8300 acres of water, is the largest lake in Pennsylvania and one of the largest man-made lakes east of the Mississippi River.

Is there a minimum stay required for The Lodge?

Between the dates of 5/29 – 8/31/2023*, we require a 2-night minimum stay on the weekends of Friday and Saturday nights. Saturday check-ins and check-outs are not available during our peak season. Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length.

*3-night minimum stay is required for the holiday weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights). 2023 holiday weekends are 5/26 (Friday) – 5/29/2023 (Monday), 6/30 (Friday) – 7/3/2023 (Monday), and 9/1 (Friday) – 9/4/2023 (Monday).

Is there a minimum stay required for Pine Cabins, Appalachian Maple Cabins, or the Oak Park Cottages?

Between the dates of 5/29 – 8/31/2023*, Pine Cabins, Appalachian Maple Cabins and Oak Park Cottage rentals must be either a 2-night weekend stay (Friday – Sunday), a 5-night weekday stay (Sunday – Friday), or a 7-night stay (Friday – Friday or Sunday – Sunday).

Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length.

*3-night stay of Friday – Monday is required for all holiday weekends. 2023 holiday weekends are 5/26 (Friday) – 5/29/2023 (Monday), 6/30 (Friday) – 7/3/2023 (Monday), and 9/1 (Friday) – 9/4/2023 (Monday).

Is there a minimum stay required for the Beachfront Bungalows?

Between the dates of 5/29 – 8/31/2023, Beachfront Bungalows require a 7-night stay of Saturday – Saturday.

Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and after Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length.

Is there a minimum stay required for Waterfront and Lakeside Villa rentals?

Between the dates of 5/29 – 8/31/2023, Waterfront and Lakeside Villa rentals must be either a 3-night weekend stay (Friday – Monday) or a 4-night weekday stay (Monday – Friday) or a 7-night stay (Friday – Friday or Monday – Monday).

*Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and following Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length.

Is there a minimum stay required for Campsite rentals?

Between the dates of 5/29 – 8/31/2023, Waterfront and Premium Waterfront require either a 2-night weekend stay (Friday – Sunday) or a 5-night weekday stay (Sunday – Friday) or a 7-night stay (Friday – Friday or Sunday – Sunday). All other Campsite types require a 2-night weekend stay (Friday – Sunday). No Saturday check-ins or check-outs are permitted.

Prior to Memorial Day Weekend and following Labor Day Weekend, we accept reservations of any length in all campsites.

*3-night stay required for all holiday weekends. 2023 holiday weekends are 5/26 (Friday) – 5/29/2023 (Monday), 6/30 (Friday) – 7/3/2023 (Monday) and 9/1 (Friday) – 9/4/2023 (Monday).

Are bed linens and towels included in Rental Units?

Our Rental Units DO NOT include towels. Guests must bring their own bath, beach, and kitchen towels.

**Pine Cabin and Appalachian Maple Cabin Rentals DO NOT include bed linens or pillows. Lake Raystown Resort does offer Bed Linen Packages that include pillows for $30/length of stay in the Pine Cabins and $40/length of stay in the Appalachian Maple Cabins. We are happy to provide this service with advance notice of no less than 7 days. Guests can always bring their own bed linens for no additional fee. Our Yurts, Oak Park Cottages, Beachfront Bungalows, Waterfront and Lakeside Villas include all bed linens, including pillows.

Can I bring my boat? Is there a fee?

All registered overnight guests are permitted to bring their boats. Boats can be moored to the shoreline on a first-come-first-served basis – free of charge. If you choose to moor your boat along the shoreline but are not staying in a waterfront accommodation or campsite, we ask that you are courteous to those with waterfront accommodations/campsites when accessing your boat.

Boats can also be stored on their trailers (free of charge) in any of our overflow parking lots.

Overnight boat slips at our Marina are available for $50/weekend night (Friday and Saturday rate) or $40/weekday night (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday rate). Holiday Rates are $55/night. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made on our website by clicking “Marina Reservations” and then clicking “Transient Slip Reservations” or by calling our Marina Services Department at extension 176.

Are there Group Discounts available for overnight accommodations?

Yes. Group Discounts are available when booking 5 or more Rental Units or Lodge Rooms, 7 or more campsites or a combination of campsites and/or rental units and Lodge Rooms totaling 7 accommodations. In addition, groups that have overnight accommodations that are booked through our Group Sales Department will receive special coupons for discounts at WildRiver Waterpark, Portside Rentals LLC and for Proud Mary Showboat Sightseeing Cruises. Are there Group Discounts available at WildRiver Waterpark?

Are there Picnic Pavillion Rentals available?

We have 5 Picnic Pavilions available for private events all of which are located in close proximity to WildRiver Waterpark. Full catering service is available. No outside catering is permitted. Where is Wedding Pointe located?

Wedding Pointe is located on our Marina peninsula overlooking the lake. Bench seating is available for approximately 70 guests. Additional seating is available at a nominal fee.

Are there Group Discounts available for Proud Mary Showboat public cruises?

Groups do not receive a discount if reserving tickets for regularly scheduled public cruises. However, private charters are available by booking through our Group Sales Department at (814) 658-3500, extension 166 or 370.

Questions About Meetings

What is needed to reserve a Lodge Room Block and/or Events Space at the Conference Center?

A signed contract and a deposit will reserve your space. The amount of the deposit required will vary depending on the size and scale of your event.

How many guests can the Conference Center accommodate?

We have handled groups of 5 to 500 guests. Please see our room specification sheet for room sizes and occupancy allowances. We offer many different room sets to meet the needs of our groups which include Classroom, Theatre, Banquet, U-Shape, Hollow Square, Reception, and other combinations of the above.

What is included in room rental?

Conference Center room rentals include tables, chairs, table linens, notepads, pens or pencils, pre-set pitchers of water, table stations & table numbers, complimentary signage on 2 flat screen television screens. Is the Conference Center ADA accessible?

Yes, we have an ADA accessible elevator, parking spaces, and doorways. We also have ADA accessible overnight accommodations. If you require special assistance, please let us know – we are here to help.

Is there ample parking at the Conference Center?

Yes, there is plenty of complimentary parking at the Conference Center.

Can bus groups be accommodated?

Yes, we welcome bus groups. We encourage bus groups to explore all our amenities including Proud Mary Showboat Sightseeing Cruises and private charters with extensive dining options. Lake Raystown Resort is also the perfect home base for bus groups to explore the Raystown Region and the Southern Alleghenies Historic Region. Bus drivers will enjoy convenient bus parking and ample room to maneuver their coach around the Resort. Please contact us for more information on our motor coach packages.

How many meeting rooms does the Conference Center have and how many can be accommodated in the meeting rooms?

We offer dozens of room configurations with movable “fly” walls. Please see room specifications chart for room sizes, occupancy allowances and set up possibilities. Our most popular room set is either U-Shape or Classroom set for meetings while using a Banquet set in a separate meal area for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. We have hosted meetings for business groups that have been for 5-500 guests.

Can you offer a general session with smaller break-out rooms?

Yes, our Conference Center was built with business in mind. Convenience and technology are a priority, and our rooms were designed to suit specific business needs. All rooms have wall-mounted screens, easy access wireless internet, and many other business-friendly options.

What are the Audio/Visual capabilities at the Conference Center?

We offer many services including LCD projectors, screens, reader boards, hard wired microphones, wireless microphones, wireless lavalieres, podiums, wireless internet, printing capabilities, laser pointers, Meeting Owl 360° Smart Camera with speaker setup, and several other business center options to suit your needs.
